FAT ENZO is a custom t-shirt print shop, located in the Greater New York Metropolitan Area, owned and operated by Bobby Pickles, a self-described Podcaster/T-shirt Peddler. Pickles is the co-host of the popular weekly punk rock podcast, Dying Scene Radio, which is the official internet radio show of the music news website, DyingScene.com. Pickles is currently in search of an artist to partner with on a line of punk rock t-shirts for Dying Scene. The perfect candidate would share similar tastes in music, have a decent grasp of punk rock culture, able to draw/trace/illustrate realistic faces of famous people, possess an uncanny talent of Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator or any other comparable raster/vector graphics software, retain an understanding of t-shirt artwork (less colors, lines not too thin, half-tones, white underlays, typography), and a basic knowledge of silk-screen printing; although, it’s not absolutely necessary, just a plus. More than anything else, the perfect art director will know how to work with a copywriter. With a B.A. in English and a diversely creative background, Pickles is the quintessential concept person. Our potential partner must be able to work in a team setting via in-person or the internet, delivering artwork, which captures the concept communicated. The artist is welcomed and encouraged to participate in the conceptualization of the artwork as well; however, once again, this is not a deal breaker, just a plus. Because this is a business partnership, the individual will not receive upfront payments for his/her artwork; instead, he/she will receive a profit share per each T-shirt sold. This is an entrepreneurial venture, so we are looking for someone with an entrepreneurial spirit, which means they need to be committed to producing the quality of artwork that will sell. Leave the marketing and printing to us. All we need is a likeminded, talented graphic artist/illustrator to join our team and we’ll be unstoppable! A quick wit and sarcastic humor wouldn't hurt either. Email Bobby Pickles if you want to know more.

At FAT ENZO, we are always on the lookout for startup or upstart businesses that might benefit from our services. And what better fresh, new industry is there than those surrounding medical marijuana dispensaries! The common misconception is that customers who frequent these new dispensaries are only shopping for flowers but nothing could be further from the truth. On the contrary, modern fashion-forward marijuana t-shirts would fill a vacant hole in the marketplace. At FAT ENZO, customers are always asking us to create t-shirts, which promote the medicinal and/or recreational use of cannabis, because, honestly, there’s really just not enough out there. If you are a decision-maker at one of these dispensaries, you should seriously consider contacting FAT ENZO about our creative services. We offer: Screen Printing, Embroidery, Graphic Design, Professional Illustration, Rush Service Available, Free Shipping in the Northeast. If you’re more artist than businessman/woman, then perhaps we can team-up on some t-shirt projects. If you’re more business-minded than expressive, let us help you conceptualize your design/brand/logo. If you’re somewhere in the middle, welcome to our world! Give FAT ENZO a call and let’s hash it out! 1-866-970-9997. Or shoot us an email. We’ll remember to reply…scout’s honor.

Custom T-shirt Art and Graphic Design in New York City

Sometimes customers bring us artwork that is just not conducive to screen printing. Their art either has way too many colors or they use a lot of rasterized images or full-color photography. Unfortunately for them, this is is a red-flag for “amateur hour”. It is true that there are ways of achieving these prints - for instance, there’s a method of water-based screen printing called process printing, which, by using the CMYK method, allows for overlapping colors, giving the appearance of unlimited colors within the artwork. But this method uses a lot of screens, so initial set-up can be quite costly. A heat press could be utilized - but “ironed on” designs are not nearly as good as their screen printed plastisol counterparts. Also, dye sublimation, but again - quality does not hold-up in the long run. Even the new technologies - such as direct-to-garment printing - is not currently where it needs to be: many d2g printers cannot print white, but even if they could, the artwork is faint and does not match the standard of general excellence achieved through silk screen printing. The best kind of artwork, in the t-shirt racket, is artwork that utilizes vector images with limited spot colors - less is more. At FAT ENZO, we employ talented graphic artists and illustrators who can take your amateur design to the next level. You can submit to us a mock-up of your design and we’ll turn it into the most professional thing you’ve ever seen in your life. You can conceptualize your t-shirt idea in a word document, and if your concept is communicated well enough, we can use that to produce ANYTHING your mind can imagine. Need a logo created for your fledgling business? Our copywriters and art directors have a superior knowledge of typography and can invent a brand identifier that will result in you running in full sprints to the trademark office. So, put your intellectual property attorney on hold and call FAT ENZO today! 1-866-970-9997. Or shoot us an email. It’s time for “professional hour”.
