GRAPHIC RE-CREATION, SIMULATED PROCESS PRINTING: ROSES/FORKS COLOR-WHEELS BY HARLAN G. HOFFMAN, LOCAL ARTIST/PAINTER
We had an awesome opportunity to screen print some custom t-shirts based on the artwork of local painter and photographer, Harlan G. Hoffman: @HarlanGHoffman — whose paintings are derived less from thought, but more from a scattered receptivity and openness; a letting go of what's known. He ran a very successful fabric design business in New York and worked with the visual merchandising departments of nearly every major department store in the U.S. His fabrics and wall coverings are in the collection of the Smithsonian, through the Cooper Hewitt Museum in New York. He has taught at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising and the Armory Art Center. Basically, he’s the man, and he commissioned a very interesting project.
